Denino’s has multiple locations, with Staten Island being the original one, and the other locations are in New Jersey and Manhattan. Denino’s has been on business since 1937.
It started as a full tavern in State Island(where it is currently located). Carlo Denino’s father ran the place.
It wasn’t until 1951 after Carlo Denino took over after his father had passed away, they started selling pizza.
Since then, Denino’s has never looked behind. It keeps growing every day, and today they are franchising. Denino’s serves pizza, meatballs, sausage, and chicken parmigiana made from the family recipes.
Denino’s serves award-winning pretty thin crust pizza characterized by red, tangy but still sweet sauce, shreds of basil, and mozzarella cheese threads. This perfect, artsy combination makes this location qualify for your next destination.

One of their best pizzas is their tri-pie. This pizza is cut into three parts. The pizza consists of Joe and Pat signature sauce, pesto sauce, vodka sauce, and a sufficient amount of fresh mozzarella.
I love their royal pizza because what is pizza without meat. This is one of Joe and Pat’s specialty pizzas. It contains meatballs, pepperoni, mushroom, and sausages spiced with pepper. You can also add anchovies to it if you prefer.

When you get to New York, you will hardly miss someone mentioning the famous L&B Spumoni Gardens. This is one of the classic pizzerias in Brooklyn, New York.
In 1939, Ludovico Barbati started this magnificent location. Ludovico was so passionate about the art of pizza making. He believed it was a tradition worth making and sharing.
Since then, L&B has never served frozen pizzas or prepackaged ones. They make their Sicillia pizzas fresh while upholding the Ludovico tradition that has put them on the top for almost a century.
L&B serves square pies that you can order by the square or the whole tray. This gigantic pizza comes as a thick doughy crust with a thick layer of hot cheese covered with just enough-layer of sweet, tangy red tomato sauce.
My best pizza experience at L&B is when I enjoy a few bites of the plain dreamy Sicilian pizza before adding my toppings.
Brooklynites hope to enjoy more L&B pizza options soon as this great spot is looking to open a second location in Dumbo, 46 old Fulton St, Brooklyn, NY 11201, in a few months.
Currently, you can still enjoy indoor dining. You have to make a reservation on the L&B website or give them a call. If you make reservations via the website, wait for their call for the reservation to be confirmed. They open daily from 11.00 am to midnight.

Pauline Gee’s is a spot that serves traditional new york style pizzas and Sicilian pizza. Pauline Gee’s has a short menu but serves one of the best pizzas you will ever taste in the city of New York.
Pauline serves different kinds of flavors, which range between 23 dollars to 34 dollars per pie. There is the plain cheese pizza that consists of mozzarella and tomato sauce. You can also order the Mootz, a combination of fresh garlic, mozzarella, and Pecorina Romano.
If you are a meaty person, you can try pepperoni or sausage flavors. My favorite pizza is the Hellboy² which is a little bit of everything because, why not?
The toppings consist of tomato sauce, Ezzo pepperoni, Mike’s hot honey, pecorino romano, and mozzarella cheese, all in a Sicilian pizza. Then there are sesame seeds at the bottom. Call it delicious!!

This spot has been there for a decade. New Yorkers’ love for this establishment grows more as years pass by. Roberta has a beautiful space, and their pies are simply beautiful if food can be beautiful.

This spot is owned by Mark Iacono, who has been referred to as the pizza guru severally. It is hard to get into the spot. This is the spot most frequented by Hollywood stars Beyonce and JayZ.
Lucali is rated number 1 in New York and the second-best pizza place in the United States. This is a pizzeria that most New Yorkers wish to visit if they have not visited it yet.
You can ask for garlic, basil, and a side of sauce for dipping when you order your pizza.
Unfortunately, Lucali only allows cash.
Initially, Lucali had no takeout, but they launched the option in mid of 2020. This means from 1 pm you can make your order using the above number.

Scarr learned how to make perfect pizza in significant pizzerias like Artichoke, Joe’s, and Lombardi’s. After some time, he started getting disappointed by how pizza quality was deteriorating with years. This was when he decided to start his place.
Scarr Pizzeria has a retro style that gives it a 70s diner theme. I love eating pizza in such an environment. It gives me the perception that every bite is authentic and original. Your grandma would fall in love with this place.
They mill their wheat to create flour for its dough. The Times and Eater have named this spot as one of the places to get the best pizza in New York.
We can attribute their excellence to the expertise, keenness, and amount of time they dedicate to their pizza production.

Nunzio’s is a staten island pizzeria that was started in 1942 by Nunzio Trivoluzzo. This stupendous pizzeria serves dreamy thin-crust pies with just enough signature tomato sauce, cheese, and toppings.
Nunzio’s menu includes other dishes like eggplant parmigiana heroes, garlic knots, stuffed shells, and garlic knots. However, pizza is what stands out more.
The pizza here is so good. When you down it with a bottle of soda, you experience heaven so good you will want more and more.
Nunzio’s incredible thing is that they come at low prices of $2.50 per regular slice despite the heavenly pizza. The service is excellent too with friendly staff and a chilled environment. The walls have black and white photos that give this spot a homey feeling.
Nunzio’s allow for delivery and takeout. Currently, there are no reservations and indoor dining because of the pandemic. You can order by calling the above number. It opens every day from 11 am to 8 pm.

This is a family spot that two brothers, Ernie & Louie, started. This was in 1947 in Harlem. They later moved to Pelham Bay, where they currently still are in a used-to-be house-turned-pizzeria.
The pizza crust here is out of this world. It is crispy and yeasty. Then they add a single layer of tomato sauce before putting shredded mozzarella cheese.
You can have as many toppings as you want, and even this still allows you to fold and enjoy your pizza New York style.

We call the pizza here grandma-style pizza since it is just Sicilian pizza, but the crust is thinner. You can as well buy the whole tray.
You can get your pizza every day from 6.00 am to 9.00 pm except Sunday where it closes at 5.30 pm.
The pizza at Rose and Joe’s comes at affordable prices. When you visit Rose and Joe’s, do not forget to ask them for the pizza deals they have for that specific day.
