What is a pizza peel?
There are two types of pizza peel – the metal and the wooden.
The wooden pizza peel is popular for the home-made pizza chef, because you build the entire pizza directly onto the peel.
The more traditional method, however, is to build the pizza on a cold surface (such as a marble worktop) and to use a thinner, metal peel to slide the pizza off the surface and into the oven.

What should I consider before choosing my best pizza peel?
