You first calculate the area (A=πr2) of your pizza’s size, then multiply it by the cheese’s density to find the amount of cheese needed in an ounce.

1. What quantity of cheese on a 12-inch pizza

A 12-inch pizza is a medium-sized pizza whose radius is 6 meaning the whole round pizza is 12inch, which also the diameter. It is sliced into eight pieces. Most people eat between 2-3 slices of pizza; therefore, it can be prepared to feed between 3 to 4 people.

You can use a 12-inch pizza to prepare the last-minute rush dinner or lunch since it takes a maximum of 30 minutes for preparation.

You can further prepare it as a snack after or before a meal. Depending on the cheese that you would want to use, say using Mozzarella, you could use 4 to 5 ounces of cheese.  The cheese lovers may consider 4 or 5 ounces a little, so you are allowed to add one to two ounces of Mozzarella.

2. What quantity of cheese on a 10-inch pizza

A 10-inch pizza, in essence, is considered a small-sized pizza. Its radius is five; therefore, the diameter is ten; hence the pizza is cut into six slices.  It can serve two to 3 people.

In a 10inch pizza, you only need 2 ounces of mozzarella cheese, but it is subject to addition where the need arises. With this pizza size, you can also eat it as a snack for adults, but kids can have lunch or dinner due to their appetite level.

An 8-inch pizza falls under the category of a small pizza. Since it’s a small size, the pizza is cut into six slices and can be used to serve 1 to 2people hugely depending on the size; however, it’s considered a one-person pizza. It also depends on how hungry you are.

Preparing a 14-inch pizza requires a maximum of 30 minutes, but for it to be readily cooked requires 20 minutes; hence total time is 50 minutes. The pizza is large-sized, it requires between  8  to s10 well-cut slices of pizza, but you might consider subdividing it further, maybe like 16 pieces for a party.

The pizza can be consumed by 3 to 5 people and can also be used for large groups. You will need a standard 6 to 7 ounces of cheese to put into the pizza. You can use one or two types of cheese as long as they blend into each other well.

5. What quantity of cheese on a 16-inch pizza

A 16-inch pizza is considered extra-large pizza. the pizza here is cut into 12 slices and can be used to feed either 12 people if each person takes a slice, while it can also feed six people when each person takes two slices

You can use up to 10 or 12 ounces of cheese with a 16-inch pizza but remember, if there are pizza lovers, you have to consider their happiness too, and hence you may always add more ounces of cheese to their liking. This kind of pizza is extraordinary with parties or large gatherings.

This is an extra crazy large pizza. When I say crazy, I mean it’s a massive pizza—putting in mind that the radius is ten and the diameter is 20, what about the area? The total area is about 314 square inches.  this pizza has 14 slices and can feed between 6 to 8 people

A 20 inch sized pizza, due to its ambiguity of size, can best be used in large gatherings. You decide to go big in the two main themes the party and the pizza go gigantic!

You need between 15 and 18 ounces of cheese for a standard-sized pizza, but there is always room for extra cheese; hence, the other 19 ounces won’t bite.
